Can You See It?

If you have taken the Productivity Challenge you should be almost ready to create a plan!  Let’s recap the first three rules of productivity.

Productivity Rule #1  – Cornerstone of All!  This rule explained that the cornerstone of any and all productivity is positive self leadership.  This rule discusses the need to live our personal value system and be authentic. “Get our minds right.”

Productivity Rule #2  – WHY?  This rule showed us to the need to figure out our purpose… our purpose is our “Big Why.”  It is imperative that we have clarity around why are we doing what we are doing and that our why is big enough!  If we don’t have both of those elements, when the going gets tough we won’t have the tenacity necessary to stay the course against all odds and we will have wasted a lot of time.

Productivity Rule #3  – What?  This rule showed us how to take our purpose (our why) and connect it to our vision. Our vision is really our “what,” it shows us who we want to be and what we want to do and have.

The process of completing productivity Rule # 3, creating my vision, was an amazing experience. Writing a detailed look at “a perfect day in my life five years from now” really opened my eyes to what it actually is that I desire to create.

As I was completing that process I realized that a few of the action items I was ready to “pull the trigger on” were things that were not going to create the lifestyle I desired.  It’s sure great to know that now.  I would hate to arrive at a destination five years from now only to find that it’s the wrong one!

It was a wonderful exercise that has thoroughly prepared me for the next productivity rule… charting our course!

Until tomorrow ~ Onward & Upward My Friends, Lisa
