Stonewall Jackson was a Confederate general during the Civil War. Loved by his men, he was a “Corps Commander” in General Lee’s army of Northern Virginia. He was once heard to say:
“Never take counsel from your fears.”
It is clear to me that he understood very well the concept that fear paralyses and faith moves us forward.
As we move through these tough economic times I often find myself reflecting on General Jackson’s advice. “Never take counsel from your fears.”
When ever fear begins to creep in I remember his advice and I jump right into action! It is a universal impossibility for fear and faith to coexist. The best medicine for fear is faith! The best expression of faith is ACTION!
